Amerigon designs, develops and markets products based on our advanced, proprietary, efficient thermoelectric device technologies for a wide range of global markets.
Our current principal product is our proprietary Climate Control Seat™ (CCS™) brand cooled/heated seat, which we sell to automotive and truck manufacturers and their tier one suppliers. Amerigon has sold over 3 million CCS seat systems, and has consistently achieved an average double digit growth rate over the last several years.
The success of the CCS brand makes Amerigon the world's largest supplier of thermoelectric devices. CCS brand cooled/heated seats are now offered in over 20 vehicle lines built by five of the world's largest automotive manufacturers - Ford, General Motors, Toyota, Nissan and Hyundai.
Through our subsidiary, BSST, we have worked over the past five years developing innovations that improve thermoelectric efficiency. We currently hold 20 patents related to these and other innovations.
Amerigon was incorporated in 1991 and is headquartered in Northville, Michigan. We also have offices in the United States in Southern California, as well as around the world in Japan, Germany and England.
